Pages Your Website Must Have
As web surfer get more internet savvy, they expect more and more from online businesses. As an online business, it is your duty to come across as profesional as possible. Gone are the days when you could just throw up a web site and expect to make money from it. There are so many factors that now influence the potential buyer. One example is that with Google, people can compare prices of thousands of products with absolute ease. So it is your job, online buisiness owner, to try and seperate yourself from the rest. Of course there are many different ways to do this and an excellent one is tweaking and including some of these pages:
About Us: Your About Us page doesn’t just have to be a small little blurb about what you do and who you are. It can be turned into a virtual press release of your business. Here you have a golden opportunity to connect with your customers and really tell them why they should do business with you. I have seen some websites turn their About Us pages into mini site where they update it regularly with things that are happening with their company, new jobs that are available and even specials on products. You can also take full advantage of interpage linking to direct your visitors to the most important pages on your site.
Contact Us: Make sure you have ALL the details that are needed for your customers to contact you on your contact page. If you are selling something and you dont have a contact page it may seem fishy to many people. Contact form, physical address, phone and fax numbers, this all is important information that tell your users you are a legit company.
Copyright: Your unique, tailormade content should be copyrighted. Your content is unique, right? It is good practice to make sure your copyright is specifically created for your business. The reason being thats different companies might have different copyright rules. Some online businesses might have different copyright rules for their content.
Those are a few extra’s that you can add to your website to ensure that you connect better with your customers.
